Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: August 2026

How billing works

Nico is pay-per-minute, not a subscription. You buy a block of minutes; the clock runs only while a session is actively in progress, and stops the instant you pause it. There is nothing to "cancel" in the subscription sense — there is no recurring charge, and no plan that renews on its own.

What you're charged for

A full breakdown of every charge is shown on your session summary at the end of each interview — active minutes, any pause charges, and the total, so nothing on your bill is unexplained.

Unused minutes

Purchased minutes remain valid for 90 days from your most recent purchase. Buying more minutes before that window closes extends the expiry date to cover your entire remaining balance — so as long as you keep using the product occasionally, you never lose minutes to expiry. We email a reminder at 14 days and again at 3 days before any minutes are due to expire.

Failed or incomplete payments

If a payment does not complete — the checkout is closed, a bank step fails, or the payment link expires — nothing is charged and no minutes are added. Your balance is only ever credited after Razorpay confirms the payment succeeded.

Refunds

Because minutes are metered to the second and consumed only for interview time you actually used, we do not offer refunds for minutes already spent. If you believe you were charged in error — a technical failure prevented a session from working, or a payment was duplicated — contact us and we'll investigate and issue a refund where warranted, credited back through Razorpay to your original payment method.

Chargebacks and disputes

If you have a billing concern, please reach out to us first — most issues are resolved faster directly than through a card dispute. If a chargeback is filed, we respond with the relevant session and payment records through Razorpay's standard dispute process.
